Business can be this beautiful: with its iconic design, the Setra MultiClass 500 makes a statement in the cost-conscious low-entry segment.
Unmistakable design. Impressive performance.
The MultiClass 500's elegant new LE models make the low-entry segment significantly more attractive. Its distinctive exterior design perfectly reflects the two-stage low-entry concept, consisting of low-floor and high-floor sections. The new front end confidently emphasises Setra family affiliation. Designers have also included many new highlights in the cockpit and passenger area.
A bus that has it all.
Low-floor at the front, high-floor at the rear – the revolutionary exterior design of the new MultiClass 500 makesno secret of its low-entry origins. On the contrary, in fact: nothing is concealed here, this vehicle proudly shows it all! The different seating levels are reminiscent of the stalls and circle in a theatre. An ample profile, painted in the vehicle's colour, emphasises the offset between the two vehicle sections. Harmoniously rounded corners soften the traditional shape of a scheduled-service bus. Designers even succeeded in making the roof appear to hover over the bodywork. The new front-end design of LE models is also a real eye-catcher: beautifully staged LED headlights harmonise perfectly with a light conductor*, which cleverly combines indicators, daytime driving lights and clearance lamps along a chrome strip. The centrally positioned Kässbohrer badge and the glossy Setra logo guarantee clear proof of origin.
Design meets functionality.
However, designers not only focus on appearance. Accessible city and intercity buses are always about optimising comfort and functionality. This becomes evident in the newly designed interior of the Setra MultiClass 500. The modern LED lighting concept ensures pleasant clarity and increases the well-being of your passengers on board. The well thought-out arrangement of seats, handrails and platforms creates a pleasantly harmonious concept of space. Glass partitions create separate sections whilst also ensuring transparency and flow. And the robust, yet high-quality surfaces as well as the harmonious, light colour scheme with deliberate dark contrasts create a modern ambience. Special equipment such as the practical luggage racks and reading lights also integrate harmoniously into this environment. In terms of the driver’s workplace, there is the choice between three deployment-optimised cockpit variants. The functional Cockpit City has been perfectly designed for urban traffic. Cockpit Basic City is ideal for combined urban and intercity use and Cockpit Basic shines with instrumentation at touring coach level, making it perfect for intercity use. All three have been perfectly embedded in the new design of the beltline. The end result is an interior design that can be tailored specifically to your wishes and offers your driving personnel and passengers an extremely attractive ride-sharing experience.
