Setra provides customised on-board videos


  • Four-minute welcome film with useful tips in eleven languages

Stuttgart/Neu-Ulm - The Daimler brand Setra is extending its customer service offering. Since the beginning of the year, coach operators have been able to welcome passengers onto their Setra coaches with a personal on-board video. Making use of some eye-catching images, the four-minute film informs passengers about the ecological benefits of travelling by coach, and also highlights the special safety and comfort features of Setra touring coaches. At the same time, before the coach sets off the on-board monitors provide clear and useful instructions on adjusting the seats as well as the service controls used for operating the reading lights and ventilation. In addition, the video also notifies passengers of the statutory obligation to wear a seat belt in the Setra TopClass 400 and Setra ComfortClass 400.

On-board video available in eleven languages

The film is available in eleven languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Slovak and Spanish. For a small additional cost, coach operators can include their own individual messages for their customers, whether by incorporating their company logo, a slide show or even their own film. Customers are free to choose and can find out about customisation options and associated costs by contacting their relevant Setra general distributor and/or sales staff. Video service takes the burden off the coach driver

Lothar Holder, Director of Sales for Setra coaches at EvoBus GmbH, believes that the modern video service combines elements of convenience and safety: "With this customised on-board video service, we are supporting our customers in undertaking advertising on their own behalf. In addition, we are also taking some of the strain off the coach drivers, who are therefore able to concentrate more on the road traffic."
