The Setra ComfortClass - economical and versatile.
approx.
The ComfortClass is as versatile as it is individual and fits into any fleet.
Whether on luxurious trips to the premiere of the Vienna State Opera, on study trips to Andalusia or on long-distance routes between cities such as Rome and Paris - the Setra ComfortClass has been delighting bus companies throughout Europe for decades. With a blend of comfort, safety, profitability and style, it is an integral part of many fleets and is now indispensable.
The ComfortClass inspires international customers with:
#1: Individual comfort.
The name says it all. With the launch of the ComfortClass 400, Setra implemented an innovative length concept that offered visibly and tangibly more space in the interior as well as in the front entrance area and thus hit the customers’ nerves. This plus of space, combined with high-quality materials and stylish design, creates an atmosphere in which passengers immediately feel when they get on board: the holiday starts on board and not just at the destination - as the bus operators’ many years of experience impressively demonstrate. The variety of variants is also particularly appreciated in the ComfortClass 500: whether it’s a study trip or an exclusive VIP shuttle, the ComfortClass creates a consistently high level of comfort and an equally pleasant travel experience for all passengers.
What impresses about the ComfortClass are the many extras that Setra offers: in the configuration of the seats, the kitchenette or the on-board entertainment. All of this makes travelling a pleasure.
Thomas Vansteelandt and Charlotte Eelbode, De Meibloem nv (Belgium)
Seating comfort plays a major role, and the Setra seats are simply superbly crafted and very comfortable. In the Setra ComfortClass, our passengers feel in the best possible care.
Andreas Joos, Kolb Reisen GmbH (Germany)
#2: Safety at the highest level.
The length concept implemented with the Setra ComfortClass 400 not only provided a plus in comfort, but also once again set standards in terms of safety. The latest safety features, such as Front Collision Guard (FCG), adaptive cruise control (ART) and Active Brake Assist (ABA), were implemented in the facelifted 400 model series vehicles in 2009. All these systems have been brought to the state of the art with the current facelift of the 500 model series, with Setra always keeping the needs of the drivers in mind. The 360° camera system, Active Drive Assist 2 and the topography-dependent Predictive Powertrain Control (PPC) cruise control system ensure the highest level of safety and help the driver to get passengers to their destination even more safely.
The comprehensive safety and assistance systems in the Setra ComfortClass are a great help for our drivers. This makes everyday work much easier.
Stefan Ehrlich, Ehrlich Reisen GmbH & Co. KG (Germany)
Premium travel is part of our corporate philosophy and, of course, safety is a top priority. With the modern safety and assistance systems of the Setra ComfortClass, we know that passengers and drivers are always in good hands.
Franz Schweizer, Schweizer Reisen Verkehr & Touristik GmbH (Germany)
The assistance systems of the ComfortClass are a real relief. Especially in intercity traffic, it is very practical that speed limits and right-of-way regulations are stored in the system at junctions.
Sandy James Corminboeuf, Zerzuben Touristik AG (Switzerland)
I particularly appreciate the intuitive operation of the safety and assistance systems, as they really have been designed with the driver in mind.
Florian Loy-Koch, Omnibus Koch GmbH (Germany)
#3: Economical from the start.
The aspect of profitability has been a trademark of the model series since the introduction of the ComfortClass and has contributed significantly to making the ComfortClass an integral part of the fleet of many coach companies. For example, the Euro VI engines of the ComfortClass 500 enable a fuel consumption reduction of up to eight percent compared to the predecessor model series 400. Profitability goes hand in hand with reliability: In parallel with the introduction of the new engines, the maintenance intervals were extended from 90,000 to 120,000 kilometres - a new feature that bus tour operators particularly appreciate. Another efficiency component is the flow-optimised design of the Setra ComfortClass 500, with which a Cd value of 0.33 - great in the coach industry - was achieved.
We run bus trips across Europe and from years of experience I know that I can rely on my ComfortClass.
Olivier Fouche, Fouché Travel (France)
Our drivers have always loved their Setra. They are now also enthusiastic about the new Driver Score assistance system, which provides them with up-to-date feedback on an ongoing basis. This allows them to continue to refine their driving style and drive more efficiently.
Amélie Guglielmi, Philibert (France)
#4: Bus trips in style.
The streamlined and elegant exterior design of the 500 model series once again underlines the fascinating combination of profitability and timeless style that characterises Setra. Distinctive features of the ComfortClass 500 are the curved, slightly rising and falling side line with the decorative element on the B-pillar as well as the powerful Setra face of the front end, which exudes exclusivity and elegance. The Setra ComfortClass vehicle concept has been offering a particularly wide range of design options for years. This means that each vehicle can be individually tailored to the respective application. A club corner for conferences in the rear is also possible, as is the stylish on-board kitchenette or a wheelchair lift for barrier-free entrance.
It is truly unique how Setra always responds to our individual wishes when designing the bus. Both in interior equipment and paintwork.
Eric Beuk, Royal Beuk Noordwijk (The Netherlands)
#5: Comfort and ergonomics in the cockpit.
The combination of excellent design and functionality has delighted the drivers since the introduction of the ComfortClass and nothing has changed since then. Even today, the cockpit of the ComfortClass impresses with its high-quality equipment, ergonomics and intuitive operating concept, which is precisely tailored to the requirements of everyday driving. It is not only a coveted workplace, but also the central interface for modern technology, where all relevant information - for example from the assistance systems - comes together. Safety, profitability, comfort and design: this is where everything that makes up the Setra ComfortClass comes together. Once you’ve taken a seat here, you won't want to miss out on that feeling.
What should I say big: We have never regretted buying a Setra. That’s why a Setra ComfortClass will continue to be at the top of our list.
