Setra buses with major orders from Germany.

Leinfelden-Echterdingen/Neu-Ulm/Westerstede/Hofolding/Langenau. The bus company “Gerdes Reisen”, “Geldhauser Linien- und Reiseverkehr” and “Schröder Reisen” are taking over numerous new Setra buses.

New Setra major order for Gerdes Reisen.

With 24 new low-entry buses and two double-decker buses from the Setra brand, the bus company Gerdes Reisen serves a route bundle of the Bremen/Niedersachen Transport Association (VBN), which has been extended by ten years. The Setra MultiClass S 515 LE and S 518 LE vehicles as well as the two Setra TopClass S 531 DT are used on routes in the Ammerland-Westerstede district.

The ten S 515 LE buses are equipped with 45 seats and 38 standing spaces, while the 14 S 518 LE buses offer 57 passengers a seat and 48 passengers a standing space - all vehicles are equipped with cameras for interior monitoring. The two S 531 DT models with double-width door 2 have 87 seats and 17 standing spaces on board as well as space for wheelchair users. The double-decker buses equipped with destination displays and passenger counting systems are used on the express bus line between Westerstede and Oldenburg.

The bus company from Westerstede in Lower Saxony is renewing its fleet with 26 new Setra vehicles. Thomas Gerdes is the second generation to run the enterprise, who has already initiated the generational change with his three sons.

Geldhauser - seven S 531 DT for the MVV.

Geldhauser Linien- und Reiseverkehr has added nine Setra double-decker buses to its fleet. Seven S 531 DTs will be used on routes in the Dachau district and on express bus lines on behalf of the Munich Transport and Tariff Association (MVV). Two more double-decker buses are available for rental to schools, clubs and for company excursions and events.

Geldhauser Linien- und Reiseverkehr has around 800 vehicles in its fleet - from disability-friendly minibuses to luxurious double-decker buses for its own touring coach programme. In addition to the MVV, many municipalities, companies, associations and schools are also clients of the company, which was founded in 1962 and has its headquarters in Hofolding south of Munich.

5 x S 517 HD and 11 x S 531 DT for Schröder Reisen.

16 new Setra touring coaches for Schröder Reisen - the bus company from Langenau is expanding its fleet to celebrate its 35th anniversary with eleven Setra S 531 DT and five S 517 HD Setra ComfortClass doubledecker buses.

The buses, which are stationed in Berlin and at their home location in Langenau, are used for day trips or multi-day city trips throughout Europe, among other things. The Setra touring coaches are equipped with the latest driver assistance and safety systems from Daimler Buses, luxury leather head restraints on all seats, on-board kitchenettes and toilets.

With the celebratory takeover at the Daimler Buses Customer Centre at the Neu-Ulm production location, the company founded in 1990 by Andreas Schröder, which he now runs with his son Dominic, currently uses 130 Setra vehicles.

In addition to tours for clubs, schools and enterprises, Schröder Reisen is one of Flixbus’ largest partners for Central Europe, Eastern and Southern Germany and also provides team buses to several sports clubs, including the basketball players of the German Bundesligist Ratiopharm Ulm and the footballers of the SSV Ulm 1846.
