17 new Setra intercity buses for Merz Reisen.

Leinfelden‑Echterdingen/Neu-Ulm/Gnadenberg. Merz Reisen GmbH is taking delivery of 17 new Setra Low Entry intercity buses. Each S 515 LE is equipped with 45 seats and features advanced technology, including the Sideguard Assist 2 system. This safety assistance system supports the driver in critical turning situations where visibility may be limited.

Seven of the Setra MultiClass buses will be deployed in the Amberg‑Sulzbach district of Bavaria after winning a route bundle tender. The network covers the region between Amberg and Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz. Ten vehicles will serve routes in a regained bundle, which includes connections in and around Altdorf as well as the link between Altdorf and Lauf.

With the addition of these 17 intercity buses, the family‑owned company — founded in 1929 and now in its third generation under Patricia Ehbauer and Ralf Schneider — operates a total of 67 vehicles from the Ulm-based brand. Among them are ten exclusively equipped touring coaches, which allow Merz Reisen customers to enjoy art and day trips, wellness getaways, musical events, and round trips as part of the company’s own travel program.
